Tiers

There are three general membership tiers. Eligibility and privileges are listed below. 

Applicants who qualify for NSGC membership (per NSGC bylaws) must be NSGC members in good standing in order to be eligible for PAGC membership. ​ 

 

We plan to use membership funds to maintain and update the PAGC website, to support the PAGC Annual Spring Conference, to fund committees and, in the future, to provide travel scholarships for our conference and research mini-grants for PAGC members. Options for purchasing a membership can be found at the bottom of this page.

ANNUAL FULL MEMBERSHIP

$50

​

Eligible individuals hold a Masters degree from an Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) accredited genetic counseling graduate training program and have a professional interest in genetic counseling in Pennsylvania.

​

​Full members may attend all PAGC meetings, vote, serve on the Board of Directors, and serve on or chair PAGC committees.​               

ANNUAL ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP $25

​

Eligible individuals are active candidates or certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG), credentialed by Genetic Nursing Credentialing Commission of International Society of Nurses in Genetics ("ISONG") or those who have a professional interest in genetic counseling in Pennsylvania.

​Associate members may attend all open meetings and serve on committees. They shall not attend closed meetings, vote on motions or elections, serve on the Board of Directors, or be elected as officers or committee chairs.

      

ANNUAL STUDENT MEMBERSHIP 

$0

​

Eligible individuals are students actively enrolled in an Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC) certified genetic counseling graduate program and also interested in living or working within Pennsylvania.

​Student members may attend all open meetings and serve on committees. They shall not attend closed meetings, vote on motions or elections, serve on the Board of Directors, or be elected as officers or committee chairs.

            

Membership Registration Process

The membership process is three easy steps that should take 10 minutes to complete: 1) Create a username & password;  2) Fill out the profile information; 3) Submit payment.

​

Memberships must be renewed on an annual basis, preferably in January. Memberships follow the calendar year of January through December.

Full Memberships purchased after the PAGC annual conference will not be honored for $0 conference attendance the following year (e.g., Full memberships purchased in April through November are not eligible for $0 conference attendance the following March).
