CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The PAGC encourages the submission of original abstracts for oral presentations. Student submissions and previously presented work are welcome. Previously published work will not be considered for review.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 19, 2021
Completed abstract submission forms must be submitted via email to pennsylvaniagc@gmail.com with the word “ABSTRACT” in the subject line.
Acceptance notifications will be sent by March 11th, 2021. Accepted abstracts will be published in the meeting syllabus on the PAGC website. If an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must be registered for the meeting. Authors who submit an abstract but are unable to attend the conference are responsible for identifying a co-author to present their work. If accepted, oral presentations must reflect the submitted abstract. In particular, the abstract title, authorship, and scientific content of the presentation at the spring meeting must reflect the submitted abstract.
The committee will accept preliminary abstracts from those students wishing to present their 2020-2021 thesis project. The preliminary abstract should include a description of the study topic, methods, and a discussion of proposed data analysis and next steps. If preliminary data is available it should be included in the abstract due on February 19, 2021. Selections for presentation will be made based on the information in the preliminary abstract. For any student selected to present, final results, not preliminary, must be presented at the conference.
