2019 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR PAGC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
To be nominated or make a nomination you must be a member in good standing of the PAGC (paid membership). The nominee must be a full member of PAGC (paid membership) and NSGC. Additionally, the nominee must live and/or practice in the state of Pennsylvania. Each position is a 2-year term of service, and current board members can serve two consecutive terms. Remember, PAGC members have their early-bird registration fee waived for the 2019 Annual Educational conference in May. In the space below, please provide a short paragraph detailing the position you would like to fill/nominate for and why you think that you or your colleague would be a good representative of our organization. This is a chance for you to influence the direction of the PAGC!
The call for nominations will close on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 5pm EST.
PRESIDENT. The President, who shall be a member of the Board of Directors, shall serve as Chairperson of the Board and shall preside at all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors at which the President is present. The President shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried into effect, and shall have the general powers of supervision and management over the day-to-day operations of PAGC. The President shall not serve as the chief executive officer or Executive Director of PAGC.
VICE PRESIDENT. The Vice President shall perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President in the absence or disability of the President, and shall perform other duties as the Board of Directors or President shall assign.
SECRETARY. The Secretary shall send or cause to be sent all required notices of meetings of the Board of Directors, shall receive and attend to all correspondence of the Board of Directors, shall have custody of all documents belonging to PAGC (except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws) and of the corporate seal (if any), and shall perform such other duties as usually pertain to the office or as shall be determined from time to time by the Board of Directors.
REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES. The Regional Representatives will consist of an East Representative and a West Representative and they can participate in all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors. They can vote in the meetings of the Board of Directors. Each representative will serve as a liaison for a subcommittee of the PAGC.
